Ein Suchaufruf unseres britischen Partnervereins COL zur partiellen Sonnenfinsternis am 20. März 2015:

Partial solar eclipse – Friday 20 March – your observations wanted!

You are invited to contribute observations of surface air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, as well as (if available) any cloud-cover and cloud-type observations for the forthcoming deep partial solar eclipse on Friday 20 March. Observations are welcomed for the whole day (00-24 hours), and preferably for 3 days before and after the event, if available, to provide several ‘control’ days.

Any observations will be gratefully received and acknowledged, especially automatic-weather-station data of the requested parameters, recording in GMT (UTC), at a time interval of no greater than 10 min (1-5 min frequency would be ideal). Please check your AWS/system clock beforehand and ensure time synchronisation from an accurate source to within 1 minute.

Please email observations, which should be in .dat, .txt, .csv or Excel file format, as soon as possible after the event (preferably by 3 April) to ehanna@sheffield.ac.uk with ‘Eclipse met obs: [STATION NAME]’ in the email subject header. Most AWS software can export data in one of these formats – look for ‘export file’ or similar in your AWS software menu.

Hallo zusammen,

es war ja bereits seit längerer Zeit in der Röhre – dieser Tage erhalten die Beobachter, die freiwillig (! nicht verpflichtend!) auf  “online” umstellen, die neuen Verträge vom DWD. Ab 1. November 2011 beginnt das neue Verfahren.

Statt ausführlicher Niederschlagsbeobachtung werden die Datensätze, um sie auch in die laufenden Prognose-Modelle einfließen lassen zu können, auf reine Messungsmeldungen des Morgens reduziert.

Innerhalb des ReH e.V. werden natürlich die Beobachtungen im bisherigen Umfang fortgeführt und die Meldetabellen nicht reduziert. Die Auswertung im “Laubfrosch” wird wie gewohnt beibehalten.
